February is Black History Month and also marks Arizona’s 109th birthday! Check out our great events we have coming up this month.
On Saturday, February 20, Drag Story Hour Arizona once again joins Virtual Arizona Pride for their Third Saturday celebration. This month’s Third Saturday event is dedicated to Black History Month and we will be celebrating with an Author Talk with Shambrekia Wise, author of one of our favorite book series, Sightseeing With Sandy. Arizona celebrated its 109th birthday on February 14 and we are celebrating with a very special Story Hour featuring LGBTQ+ elected officials. Hosts Felicia Minor and Miss Nature will be joined by Arizona House of Representatives members Andres Cano and Daniel Hernandez Jr. and Sunnyside Unified School District board member Matthew Taylor.
